Creating Inbound Links for your Website

Your website will benefit from having inbound links from other sites. The key is to make sure these links are coming from quality sites that are related, content-wise, to yours. It won’t help to have a link to your site on another website that is simply a list of random links. Link exchanges are only helpful from high quality websites and even then, a one-way link (as opposed to a reciprocal link) is much better.

A good place to start building up quality links for your website is to submit your site to the DMOZ Directory. Listing can take a while but once you are listed you will receive a quality inbound link. Also other directories use DMOZ as their source for listings thus you will likely get additional links from these sites.
